News Update - 02/20/2018

Pioneer Family,

It's almost time! We are closing in on our first games - and the official start to our 2018 season! This is a long email, but please read the entire thing as we have some important dates and information:


Our official scrimmage games are scheduled for Wednesday, February 21st. Game times are at 2:15 and 5:15. Coaches will let everyone know what time to arrive at the fields.


We are still waiting for our new Varsity uniforms to be delivered. Once we receive an ETA on the arrival date, we can arrange for the handout for everyone. Bags will be handed out at that time as well.


Please mark your calendar for Friday, February 23rd. We will be taking head shots, team photos and captain photos for our Media Guide. Here is the schedule:

  • Soph/Frosh: arrive by 2:30 for head shots (captains first), then head over to your field for the captains and team photo. Do not leave... we will meet again for the all squad photo.
  • JV: arrive by 3:00 for head shots (captains first), then head over to your field for the captains and team photo. Do not leave... we will meet again for the all squad photo.
  • Varsity: arrive by 3:30 for head shots (captains first), then head over to your field for the captains and team photo.

Once the team photos are completed, we will do the ENTIRE SQUAD all together. After the all squad photo, Soph/Frosh and JV are excused. Varsity will hang around so we can get some additional photos of Varsity, and hopefully will be able to squeeze in the senior pictures. There will not be a make-up date if you are absent. A decision on what to wear will be made closer to Friday.

Pancake Breakfast:

Our Pancake Breakfast is coming up on Saturday, February 24th. It will be held in the LIBRARY this year. Signs will be made by the girls to direct traffic to the library, as well as notices posted on our website and Facebook. All players are to attend and work with their team at the following scheduled times:

  • Soph/Frosh: 6:30am - 8:30am
  • Varsity: 8:30am - 10:30am
  • JV: 10:30am - 12:30pm

We will have poster board and markers available to make signage. Players will make signs, go to the outside of the east parking lot and hold up the signs, serve food and clean up. If any parent can spare a few hours of their time, we could always use your help! If you are able to stay and help, don't forget to stop by the check in table to have first dibs on the signups for your Snack Bar and Field Duty shifts for our Manlet Tournament. There will be an online version available to sign up for your shifts, but won't open to book until the later that evening. Those who help at the Pancake Breakfast can get first choice at a shift that schedules around them :)

Manlet Tournament:

Our Manlet Tournament is scheduled for March 2, 3 and 10. Each player is to have their parent(s) work one Snack Bar shift AND one Field Duty shift. Each shift is 3.15 hours long. Sorry, but players are NOT ALLOWED to work at this tournament. On Friday, March 2nd, we will operate both S-Turn and Duck Park fields and snack bar. The remaining days (March 3 and 10) will only be at S-turn fields. If you choose not to work, you can buy out for $75. For those of you who wrote a deposit check for this, and you do not plan on working your shifts, please let me know ASAP so I can get your check cashed. If you do not choose your TWO shifts, they will be assigned for you based on availability. If you do not work your scheduled shift, your deposit check will be cashed. If you have any special circumstances, please let me know ASAP so we can make proper arrangements.
