Suzanne Manlet Tournament

SUZANNE MANLET

Suzanne Manlet was a longtime SVHS Softball Coach (1981-2003) and passed away in 2004 after battling breast cancer for 10 years.  This softball tournament, originally known as the Simi Valley Softball Tournament, was renamed in 2004 in honor of Coach Manlet.   She was inducted into the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame.

Varsity Softball Coach at Simi Valley High School 1981-2003

Co-Athletic Director at Simi Valley High School 1997-2003

Coached numerous Ventura County All Star Softball games

Member CIF Softball Coaches Advisory Committee

ACHIEVEMENTS

Coach Manlet’s Varsity teams were either Marmonte League Champions or Runners Up 13 out of 22 years.

Simi Valley won six Marmonte championships and seven second-place standings.

The Pioneers appeared in 16 CIF Playoffs

Played third base for numerous Fast Pitch Softball teams in Tournaments all over North America

Top fundraiser for the annual Simi Valley Relay for Life Cancer Walk
