2020 Softball Program Information

Parents,
Welcome to the 2020 Simi High Softball season!
You are being sent emails in a group for this year's Parents of the softball program. Please check with your partner to make sure they have received this email as well (if they choose to receive emails this season). Also, a copy of this email will be sent to all players, so please check with your daughter to make sure she received it - some players have personal email addresses, while others have their school email. This is the main form of communication, so it is important that we have everyone included.
While the girls have already been practicing, we have begun crunch time behind the scenes. This year has unfortunately started off very late compared to our past years. We usually start off our season of information and fundraising in November, so this year will be quick with a few bumps along the way as we steer our way to our first game.
To start, we will have our Player & Parent meeting this week -
- Wednesday, January 22nd at 7:00pm in the Library at Simi High.
We will be introducing you to our Coaching Staff and Boosters. There is a lot of information that will be given out, so we will need both the player and a parent there. You will be purchasing your Spirit Pack, so please be prepared to pay with cash, check or credit card. All checks should be made payable to Simi Softball Booster Club. The Spirit Pack cost is $300 for all players. New players will also be purchasing a helmet and jacket which is an additional $110. Every player needs a Spirit Pack - which includes 3 practice shirts, 2 game socks, hoodie, visor, an orange shirt with pair of socks for our "Orange Game", along with a pink shirt with pair of socks for the "Pink Game" that we play against Royal.
We also will be collecting some "deposit checks" that will be returned to you once you fulfill your duties as discussed at the meeting. Some of our fundraising items (SMG tickets, Pancake Breakfast tickets, etc.), as well as your Snack Bar & Field Duty assignments, require a deposit check. We will also have some shirts and gear for your family and friends to purchase to help raise money for our program. While the deposit checks are ONLY checks, we do accept cash and all major credit cards to pay for the Spirit Pack or if you want to outright purchase your SMG and Pancake Breakfast tickets or buy-out of any of the fundraising and any extra items you purchase.
